For the ECB we created impactful content to drive awareness of the England v Ireland Series

What we Did

We invited Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain to launch the series whilst
challenging him to translate the subtleties of cricket for broader audiences to understand.

The launch centred around two central pieces of video content:

HURLING FAIL: Reactive teaser video featuring Ó Briain accidentally hitting a photographer with a sliotar as he showcased his hurling skills on the hallowed Lord’s turf

COMMENTARY CRAIC: Ó Briain providing comical commentary on a previous match between England and Ireland, providing tongue-in-cheek interpretation of the action – including a variety of big hits, fielding blunders and umpiring signals

Both videos were separately sold into national, lifestyle, commuter, cricket and Irish media whilst being amplified across the ECB’s own digital platforms and eCRM.

“Great creative, innovative content, a flexible media plan and most importantly really strong collaboration across the game both in the UK and Ireland. A great start to our international season.”
