GBK briefed us
to launch their 2010 World Cup menu promotion,
creating
national impact for the brand.
We came up with the idea of linking up with
England’s legendary 1966 ‘keeper
to rename GBK as Gordon Banks’ Kitchen
for the duration of the World Cup!
The flagship St Pauls restaurant was fully
rebranded ahead of the World Cup
kicking off, and Gordon Banks made an appearance
for a photo shoot
and media interviews.
Six media interviews secured with news, sport
and lifestyle titles. Video footage was also
taken and distributed to BBC and Sky channels,
while a photo shoot produced imagery for further
media sell in.
A total of 17 pieces of coverage were generated,
including 3 broadcast, 3 national print and
10, online reaching a potential audience of
more than 50 million.
