Rocket man pizza

Whilst we didn’t quite match the speed of the international space station, we certainly were quick in turning around an opportunity for Papa John’s last week. British astronaut Tim Peake had mentioned that one of the first meals he would like when he landed would be a pizza and so we delivered something faster than a pizza delivery boy.

Within three hours of the BBC publishing the interview mentioning the pizza we had created a Papa John’s Tim Peake pizza special and begun outreaching to key national media. Our in house design team created a pizza design that will actually be made and presented to Tim when he finally reaches UK soil in June. The pizza featured pepperoni stars and more importantly, lots of Rocket! Media lapped it up and the Papa John’s pizza was featured by The Mirror, Daily Star and Huffington Post.  A Mashable story featuring the pizza was shared over 900 times over the course of the day and the social posting on Papa John’s own social channels far outperformed their usual engagement rate.

A stellar performance…
